MacArthur Airport is advising travelers to contact their airline for the most updated flight status during this storm, as this information is subject to change. The Long Island Railroad (LIRR) has one of its main hubs—the Ronkonkoma Station--located just one mile to the north of MacArthur Airport. With hourly service to and from New York City, it’s the perfect opportunity for passengers to kick back, relax and take the plane to the train or vice versa.
Village Taxi, the on-site Taxi service at MacArthur Airport, also offers travelers a $5 shuttle ride to the Ronkonkoma station of the Long Island Railroad, which is located just north of Airport Terminal.

Residents of the Town of Islip are eligible to purchase a Resident Parking Permit via mail or by stopping into MacArthur Airport.
Proper proof of residency is required to purchase the permit, and permit holders are able to park in 6, 6A or 6B, the designated Town Resident Parking Lots.
